Condition Surveys

Larsens Marine Surveyors & Consultants perform condition surveys for a multitude of purposes. It may be that an owner is considering modifying a vessel and requires to know that the vessel is in a reasonable condition prior to commencing the project. Other vessel owners may perform regular condition surveys in order to assess the condition of a vessel over a period of time, thereby allowing them to monitor if the condition is deteriorating and actively contributing to an Asset Integrity Management Scheme. It may even be the case that the vessel has become a target for Port State Control and the owner wishes to ensure that a detention by Port State Control is not likely.

By continually assessing the condition of a vessel it is possible to reduce risk to those on board, risks to the environment and the risk of detention.
